On the 10th of October Year 2 went on a visit to Captain Cook Museum. The children learned lots about the marvellous Captain James Cook who led a ship of like minded men around the world. They discovered new countries, that before then, lay undiscovered, countries like Australia. Captain Cook is very important because he was born in Marton, Middlesbrough. The children got to experience lots of different things such as painting like the tribes people of Australia, writing with quills as James would have and 3D goggle experiences allowing the children to see the lands James Cook and his team visited. All the children got to go around the museum and see lots of wonderful things. Everyone had a fantastic day including the adults. The children were fantastic and a credit to the academy.
Thank you for taking the time to visit the Primary Academy’s website. I hope it gives you a good insight into our academy and how we, above all, encourage our children to aspire to what they want to be.
