On Thursday 9th November 10 children from our Academy Council visited the Cenotaph at Albert Park, to remember those who have fought for our country. We were given a small, wooden cross with a poppy on and held this during the service. Different people and children came to show their respect during the service. We took place in a two minute silence at 11am. We placed our cross in the grass, next to the Cenotaph. It was a very special experience for us.
Also, on Friday 10th November we held a remembrance service for our pupils. We all gathered in our Quad and held a 1 minute silence. Every child held a poppy which were placed along the fence and we lowered our flag to half mast.
Thank you for taking the time to visit the Primary Academy’s website. I hope it gives you a good insight into our academy and how we, above all, encourage our children to aspire to what they want to be.
