This year EYFS took part in Sports Day together. We split into teams and enjoyed taking part in eight different activities. We had egg and spoon races, welly throwing, and water collecting to name just a few! Nursery and Reception children all took part and the staff were so proud of everyone. It was lovely to have Parents, Grandparents, Aunts, and Uncles to come and watch – they were great at cheering the children on!
Key Stage 1 and 2 sports days were split over two days but all children were involved in a wide range of races and activities that ranges from running and jumping to throwing and shuffling. It was a fantastic day enjoyed by all and it was brilliant to have parents and carers back to see the children enjoying sports outdoors.
Good afternoon,
We have had an incredible week at Brambles!
We have had a quidditch day, with most children learning how to play the famous wizarding game. Yarm school visited and did a VR session with our year 5 children exploring the solar system. Our year 6 children went bowling at Hollywood Bowl as a reward for all of their hard work ready for SATs.
Today, we have both celebrated and respectfully remembered the 80th anniversary of VE Day to close off the week of national celebrations. The children have had a wonderful day learning about VE Day, heard stories about some of the children’s relatives who lived through the war and had a wonderful street party as our lunch!
I would like to celebrate our attendance winners, 2S, with 100% attendance and our core value champions for demonstrating Kindness.
Can I also say a massive thank you to everyone who attended the RWInc meeting on Wednesday morning and enjoyed a breakfast bun.
And finally a huge good luck to year 6 who are doing their KS2 SATs next week, you have done all the hard work, now is just time to shine!
Have a wonderful weekend and enjoy what looks to be lovely weather!

Good afternoon,
Week 1 of 4 for this half term is over and it was been a lovely week at Brambles. The weather definitely makes everything much more enjoyable!
This week we have welcomed our new school lunches and the feedback from children (and staff) has been amazing! The lunches look and taste delicious and I have attached some photos to share the unbelievable offer we now have for lunches!
The children have settled back in to their learning and are well settled for the run in to Summer.
Last night, we also held our first Matchfit session for parents and children through MFC Foundation. This is a great fitness session and was definitely enjoyed. If you are interested in attending next week, please drop Mr Swales a message and he will be able to get you the relevant information.
Today, in celebration assembly, we have recognised children for demonstrating our core value of respect linked to David Attenborough!
Well done to 1M for winning the attendance award.
Next week on Friday the children will be having a street party to celebrate the 80th Anniversary of VE Day and I’m sure those photos will make up next weeks update.
Have a wonderful bank holiday weekend and we will see you all back in the academy on Tuesday.
Thanks,
Mr Mayle

Good afternoon,
We have had a really busy week at school.
Monday started with our year 1’s going on a visit to the church in North Ormesby as part of their work about Christianity. Monday afternoon our KS2 children had their Easter music performance for parents which was really well attended, so thank you for coming.
Tuesday saw the first day of our new catering contract with Aspens. I know there have been some questions and concerns this week about what this looks like. Please do bare with us as there is a two week change over menu until the Easter holidays. From after the two week break, it will be fully up and running and everything will be in place properly. The children are really enjoying the food that is available at the moment and they will be back to having more options when we come back.
Thursday afternoon saw the year 4 team welcome parents to taste the pizzas the children had made as part of their D&T work.
Today we have had the explore day for children from year 1 to year 6, where children took part in orienteering out on the field. Whilst, reception have been on their visit to the farm this afternoon!
Have a wonderful weekend and well done to 3J for winning the attendance award.
Please don’t forget next week we have our KS1 Easter Performance on Monday and on Thursday is our Easter Fayre.
Thanks,
Mr Mayle

Ava has sensory processing and is going on school dinners after Easter. She will only eat cheese sandwich and plain pasta. Are these going to be available?
It's not plain pasta though I asked today and it says got with tomato sauce I'm having same issue with my daughter she's had an orange all day because she doesn't like curry and rice and they are trying to do away with the cold I think 🤔
Is there going to be a cold option x
