Murton Park Visit

Yesterday, our Year 3’s and Year 6’s took part in sessions put on by Murton Park. Year 3 learnt more about the Stone Age and Year 6 about the Homefront of World War Two. The sessions were interactive and engaging and the children loved the day!

Thankyou x

Good afternoon all,

Couldn’t get to the weekly round up last week due to Summer Fayre, but want to say a massive thank you for all of your support on the afternoon, it was a really fun afternoon with plenty of smiles on children’s faces! Although I think Roary the Lion had a bit too much fun, with his brushes with the emergency services.

We also had a pickleball day last week, which is a cross between tennis and badminton, and due to the weather on sports day all children took part in some team building activities linked to our character education work with Commando Joe’s.

This last week is another busy one with a number of things happening:

Tuesday: year 6 are having a gaming afternoon.
Wednesday: (hopefully) we will be hosting our EYFS sports day on the morning and afternoon.
Wednesday: (again hopefully) KS2 and KS1 will be taking part in our very own Euros tournament.
Wednesday: the Year 6 leaver assembly will start at 2pm in the hall.
Thursday: our annual Brambles Fun Day with inflatables and a mixture of other activities.
Thursday: our children with 100% attendance for the year will be having a special lunch.
Friday: we will have our final assembly for the year and celebrate our leavers.

Thanks,
Mr Mayle

Good afternoon,
It has been an eventful week here at Brambles. We have had the Year 2 trip to Saltburn, the Nursery trip to soft play, our 2 year olds and afternoon nursery have had a visit from a bouncy castle and soft play and today some of our Key Stage 1 children went to a football tournament at the Sports Village.

Well done to all of our Honker winners this week who were all awarded for Kindness, and a big well done to our attendance winners in 1M!

Remember that it is our Sports Day on Tuesday: Key Stage 1 is at 10am and Key Stage 2 on the afternoon at 1.30pm, and our Summer Fayre is on Friday afternoon. EYFS sports day is on Wednesday 17th July.

Have a lovely weekend and enjoy the football, hopefully we get a good result tomorrow.

The Dogs Trust

Today Brambles had the opportunity to attend a workshop with the Dogs Trust. We learned about how we can be safe around dogs following 5 rules. These include leaving a dog alone when it is eating and making sure we are quiet when we are around them so we don’t hurt their ears. We have learned lots today and had fun too.

Has there been another date put in place for ks1 and ks2 sports day which was cancelled last week due to the weather?

Do they finish early on Friday?

Thanks,
Mr Mayle
