Young Voices

Our choir had a great time at the Young Voices Concert on Monday! A fantastic experience for the children, who got to perform alongside Tony Hadley and Ruti, the 2018 series winner of The Voice UK. The children also particularly enjoyed the ‘Urban Stride’ dance group.

Well done to everyone who took part and to the teaching staff who prepared and accompanied the children to the event.

NSPCC -Speak Out Stay Safe

Our Speak out Stay safe sessions are delivered by the NSPCC. The aim is to equip a generation of children with the knowledge and understanding they need to stay safe from abuse and neglect. Children are taught to speak out if they are worried, either to a trusted adult or Childline.

The sessions this week in Year five and six gave the children clear ideas of where they could go for help and advice. They made it really child friendly.

After the session, a child said, ‘It was really fun and informative today. I liked Buddy and still remember the number you taught us. It’s nice knowing that Childline is always there for me if I ever need them.’

Lordstones Camping 2019

Year 6 spent three adventure filled days at Lordstone Campsite near Carlton in Cleveland. The children participated in a number of team-building activities: Den building, fossil finding, stargazing, night and day hiking and weaselling. The children thoroughly enjoyed their time, putting up their tents, bonding, playing games and enjoying the great outdoors.
