Murton Park Visit

Yesterday, our Year 3’s and Year 6’s took part in sessions put on by Murton Park. Year 3 learnt more about the Stone Age and Year 6 about the Homefront of World War Two. The sessions were interactive and engaging and the children loved the day!

Good afternoon,

We have had a really busy week at school.

Monday started with our year 1’s going on a visit to the church in North Ormesby as part of their work about Christianity. Monday afternoon our KS2 children had their Easter music performance for parents which was really well attended, so thank you for coming.

Tuesday saw the first day of our new catering contract with Aspens. I know there have been some questions and concerns this week about what this looks like. Please do bare with us as there is a two week change over menu until the Easter holidays. From after the two week break, it will be fully up and running and everything will be in place properly. The children are really enjoying the food that is available at the moment and they will be back to having more options when we come back.

Thursday afternoon saw the year 4 team welcome parents to taste the pizzas the children had made as part of their D&T work.

Today we have had the explore day for children from year 1 to year 6, where children took part in orienteering out on the field. Whilst, reception have been on their visit to the farm this afternoon!

Have a wonderful weekend and well done to 3J for winning the attendance award.

Please don’t forget next week we have our KS1 Easter Performance on Monday and on Thursday is our Easter Fayre.

Thanks,
Mr Mayle

Ava has sensory processing and is going on school dinners after Easter. She will only eat cheese sandwich and plain pasta. Are these going to be available?

It's not plain pasta though I asked today and it says got with tomato sauce I'm having same issue with my daughter she's had an orange all day because she doesn't like curry and rice and they are trying to do away with the cold I think 🤔

Is there going to be a cold option x

Good afternoon,

It has been another fun week at school and some of our children have had brilliant experiences.

Our year 6 children went on a visit to AV Dawson to finish off a piece of work about what the company does in the area and across the world as part of our classroom to Careers work.

Year 3/4 boys have today been to a football competition with MFC and had a great afternoon competing with teams from across the borough.

Children are working hard to prepare for the Easter performances that you can attend next week and the week after.

A big well done to our Core Value champions and our attendance winners 6H.

Have a wonderful weekend. Don’t forget the date for the diary, the Easter Fayre is on Thursday 10th at 1.15pm.

The Dogs Trust

Today Brambles had the opportunity to attend a workshop with the Dogs Trust. We learned about how we can be safe around dogs following 5 rules. These include leaving a dog alone when it is eating and making sure we are quiet when we are around them so we don’t hurt their ears. We have learned lots today and had fun too.

Before the Easter break, we held an Easter Egg decorating competition. There were hundreds of examples from which it was very difficult to choose the winners, however the winner from each year group was crowned and given their prizes. These are some of the winning entries.
