Murton Park Visit

Yesterday, our Year 3’s and Year 6’s took part in sessions put on by Murton Park. Year 3 learnt more about the Stone Age and Year 6 about the Homefront of World War Two. The sessions were interactive and engaging and the children loved the day!

Teachers will inform you of the other year groups in advance and of the changes that will take place for the second week back (there are a number of events in the first week which means PE is moving slightly).

Good afternoon,

This week is always a busy one in our academic year given that we have had year 6 SATs. I just want to say what an amazing job the children did this week! Their effort and hard work has been incredible but also the way that they have clearly demonstrated all four of our core values across the week. The resilience to keep going, the respect for each other and adults, the kindness when others were struggling and the teamwork to keep each other on track has been impressive to see, so well done all of year 6! An equal shout out to all the year 6 and whole school staff who have helped out.

Well done to 6H who are our attendance winners this week and all of our Honker winners for teamwork.

Have a lovely weekend

Good afternoon,

I hope everyone is enjoying the sunshine and looking forward to a very summery weekend!

We have had another great week at Brambles with visits to the library, music sessions and water safety assemblies. Well done to our honkers of the week who were rewarded for either kindness or resilience.

Big congratulations to 2S for winning our attendance award this week with 97.4% attendance!

The last thing Iwould like to say is good luck to our year 6 pupils next week who are sitting their SATs. You have done all the hard work, now is just the time to shine! Reminder that all year 6’s can come in to the academy from 8am to get breakfast and ask any last minute questions.

Have a lovely weekend in the sun,

The Dogs Trust

Today Brambles had the opportunity to attend a workshop with theΒ Dogs Trust. We learned about how we can be safe around dogs following 5 rules. These include leaving a dog alone when it is eating and making sure we are quiet when we are around them so we don’t hurt their ears. We have learned lots today and had fun too.Β
