Yesterday, our Year 3’s and Year 6’s took part in sessions put on by Murton Park. Year 3 learnt more about the Stone Age and Year 6 about the Homefront of World War Two. The sessions were interactive and engaging and the children loved the day!

It is the end of a busy week at Brambles!
Our year 2 children started the week with a visit from the Fire Service, who showed them around the fire engine and even let them use the hose. Yesterday we had our Disability Sports Day with children taking part in a range of sports designed for those with disabilities. And then today our year 3 children took part in Pedestrian training, these sessions focus on road sense.
Well done to our core value champions who were rewarded for showing resilience this week!
An extra well done goes to 3H who were our attendance champions with 99.5%!

Good afternoon,
I want to finish what has been a very busy week by saying a massive thank you to all of you who have attended the academy so far for Christmas celebrations!
We have had our wonderful EYFS nativity, our KS1 nativity about aliens, our Reindeer Run and a Christmas fair that was amazing yesterday!
Still to come next week we have our Carols in the Quad for years 3-6 on Tuesday afternoon, the Christmas craft mornings for EYFS and our Christmas dinner and jumper day on Thursday.
This week have celebrated our Core Values Champions for showing kindness this week.
Have a wonderful weekend and we will see you all for more celebrations next week!

Today Brambles had the opportunity to attend a workshop with the Dogs Trust. We learned about how we can be safe around dogs following 5 rules. These include leaving a dog alone when it is eating and making sure we are quiet when we are around them so we don’t hurt their ears. We have learned lots today and had fun too.

Before the Easter break, we held an Easter Egg decorating competition. There were hundreds of examples from which it was very difficult to choose the winners, however the winner from each year group was crowned and given their prizes. These are some of the winning entries.
