Our Year 6 pupils have celebrated the end of their time at Brambles with our annual camping trip to Lordstones Country Park. This involved three days and two nights spent enjoying the North York Moors National Park. The children arrived on Monday morning and promptly set up the campsite with all tents and equipment they would need to live outdoors for the time period. Over the three days, the children covered over 10 miles of walking with a particularly long walk on the second day taking in the North Yorkshire Three Peaks from Lordstones over to the Wainstones and back. In addition to the walking, the children took part in a host of other activities including weaseling through rocks, team-building challenges, and even a talent competition. It was a fantastic adventure and a great way for them to celebrate after all their hard work throughout year 6.
